On Tuesday May 28, 2024, the IOPDHR-GENEVA-NGO team took part in an event organized by the Maison Internationale des Associations in Geneva. Under the captivating theme “The golden rules of volunteering in the associative sector”, this meeting brought together an array of experienced speakers and passionate participants.

 

Over the course of this rich morning, the speakers shared their in-depth knowledge and invaluable field experience of the issues surrounding volunteering within associations. Their presentations highlighted best practices, common challenges and winning strategies for mobilizing, managing and rewarding valuable volunteers.

 

For their part, participants were able to express their questions, thoughts and personal accounts, creating a constructive dialogue and a synergy of knowledge. This fruitful exchange enriched everyone's understanding of associative dynamics, and provided them with concrete ideas for optimizing volunteer management.

 

In addition to the knowledge acquired, the event was also an opportunity for IOPDHR-GENEVA-NGO to forge valuable links with other key players in Geneva's associative scene. Informal exchanges encouraged the sharing of experiences, the establishment of contacts and the exploration of potential future collaborations.
