2. Advocacy

IOPDHR-GENEVA-NGO will strive to achieve its advocacy objectives through sustained actions:

  • Observe the paths of democratic construction, security challenges and the situation of rights and freedoms in the countries of the region;

  • Create spaces for public debate between actors in the countries of the region, in relation to various human rights issues;

  • Encourage research and studies, draw up reports and diversify programs to strengthen capacities in the field of monitoring freedoms and human rights; Diversify training in relation to international mechanisms for the protection of human rights and the relevant European system;

  • Support peace and disseminate universal human values to encourage positive dialogue between religions, civilizations and cultures;

  • Open up to international experiences with foreign partnerships;

  • Observe elections and contribute to their success in accordance with international norms and standards;

  • Contribute to the establishment of a model of solidarity and multi-South cooperation;

  • Contribute to the improvement and achievement of sustainable development goals.

These are the tasks that IOPDHR-GENEVA-NGO will accomplish, as a mechanism combining field monitoring and reflection based on relevant research and studies, and will rely on means such as reports, thematic documents and seminars, and will advocate for this cause at the level of the countries concerned as well as at the international level.
